Bleached market pulp
KomiPrime

KomiPrime

KomiPrime is a high-quality bleached dry pulp. There are two types of KomiPrime pulp:

- softwood pulp which is made from a mixture of pine (~20%) and spruce (~80%)
- hardwood pulp which is made from a mixture of birch (~50%) and aspen (~50%).

KomiPrime is bleached using ECF (Elemental Chlorine Free) technology.

Softwood pulp is the most valuable fiber material for papermaking. It consists mainly of long fibers and can therefore be used in combination with short fiber materials (hardwood, straw or cane pulp) as well as on its own.

The fibers of hardwood pulp are distinguished by their short length and softness enhancing properties of the paper made from this material. These characteristics make hardwood pulp more suitable for certain types of paper products.

Usage

Softwood pulp is the most valuable fiber material for papermaking. We make our pulp from conifer trees that grow in the northern part of European Russia. The tough climate makes our fibers especially strong and reliable. KomiPrime's long fibers are the most valuable part for paper: they can be used alone to produce high-strength paper or in combination with other types of fiber to improve quality and strength of the final products. The fibers of hardwood pulp are distinguished by their short length and softness enhancing properties of the paper made from this material. These characteristics make hardwood pulp more suitable for certain types of paper products.
